YouTube transcripts on your phone, in any language
You don't need a computer to read what was said in a YouTube video. With TubeToTranscript, a transcript is a few taps away from the YouTube app, and you can then switch it to another caption language or script.

Android
- Open tubetotranscript.com in Chrome and choose Install app from the menu.
- In YouTube, tap Share on any video.
- Pick TubeToTranscript, and the transcript opens straight away.
iPhone and iPad
- In YouTube, tap Share → Copy link.
- Open tubetotranscript.com in Safari.
- Paste the link into the box and tap the button.
Shorts work the same way. Once the transcript loads, you can search it, copy it, or download it as a text or subtitle file.
Reading a video in another language
- Switch caption tracks (free): if a video has captions in several languages, including YouTube's automatic translations, pick one from the language list.
- AI translation (Pro): translate the transcript into any of nearly 60 languages, even ones YouTube has no captions for, keeping every timestamp.
- Change the script: Hindi and Urdu captions can be shown in Devanagari, Urdu script, or Roman Urdu. This changes the alphabet, not the words.
If nothing comes up
